For the 2025-2026 swim season, all officials and meet directors, both new and returning, must complete all prerequisite and position-specific courses and tests up to their highest held position.

Certification Requirements

Meet Director: Prerequisite courses (Code of Conduct & Concussion Protocol) and Meet Director course with passing scores on all tests.

Stroke & Turn: Prerequisite courses and Stroke & Turn course with passing scores on all tests. Attend clinic and shadow two (2) sanctioned league meets.

Starter: Prerequisite courses, Stroke & Turn and Starter courses with passing score on all tests. Attend clinic, complete one (1) year as a Stroke & Turn Judge, and shadow as a Starter at two (2) sanctioned league meets.

Referee: Prerequisite courses, Stroke & Turn, Starter, and referee courses with passing score on all tests. Attend clinic, complete one (1) year as a Stroke & Turn Judge, one (1) year as a Starter, and shadow as Referee at two (2) sanctioned league meets.

Administrative Official: Prerequisite courses and Administrative Official course with passing scores on all tests. Attend clinic and shadow at two (2) sanctioned league meet sessions and pass an evaluation session.
